Electric, electrical or electronic?
An electric or electrical device is one which transforms electrical energy into some other form of energy like motion,
heat, light, etc., that is, performs the conversion of electrical energy into some other form of energy.
Electric is used in front of nouns to talk about particular machines or devices that use electricity.
The boat runs on an electric motor. My dentist recommends I get an electric toothbrush.
Electrical is used in a more general way about machines, devices or systems that use or produce electricity or to talk
about people or organizations connected with the production of electricity.
They sell electrical appliances such as dishwashers. We are waiting for a shipment of electrical equipment.
Jhon is an electrical engineer. They work in the electrical engineering industry.
An electronic device is one that controls the movement of electrons to perform a specific task. Mainly performs the
function of controlling the flow of electrical energy in a circuit.
Electronic is used to talk about a device that has transistors or silicon chips that control the electric current.
All the electronic devices must be switched off. They use electronic surveillance systems.

Basic concepts

Electric circuit : Interconnection of passive and active electrical components. Branch : Simple trajectory containing a single element and connecting one node to another node. Path or trajectory : Set of elements that can be traversed in order, without passing through the same node twice. Loop : Closed path. Mesh : Closed path that does not contain any other loops within it. Node : Point at which two or more elements have a common connection. Example : How many branches, nodes, and meshes does the following circuit have? __ branches, ___ nodes, ___ meshes. What is formed in the following cases? B-C: _________ B-A-F-E: ___________ F-A-B-C-D-E: _________ F-A-B-E: _________ B-C-D-E-B: __________ F-E: ________

Checklist example Deliver the exam and the sheets on time, write legibly and clearly only the correct answer in English without spelling mistakes, use a dark blue pen (no pencil, non-erasable). Write the unit and prefix symbols and integer in the range of 1 to 999 with 2 decimals (if apply) without rounding, without annotations, corrections or scratches. Don’t use mobile, nor laptop, book or notebook, only scientific calculator. You may not get out the classroom or stand up during the exam or turn to the other side other than your exam. Use only the sheets provided by the professor. Don’t use formula sheets. Put your backpack in front the classroom
