Sistema de Gestión de la Calidad Revisión: 01 DEVELOPING

WILL Y BE GOING TO

“Will” and “Going to” are two similar but different ways of talking about the future. The main difference is that will refers to forecasts of things that are believed to happen and to spontaneous decisions, while going to is used to talk about plans for the future, things that are likely to happen with certainty, and to decisions already made. In both cases they must be accompanied by a main verb.

  • The construction of the sentence with will is: Subject + will + verb in infinitive.
  • Questions with Will Will / Won't + subject + verb +?
  • The construction of the sentence with going to is: Subject + verb to be conjugated + going to + verb in infinitive
  • Questions with Going to To be conjugated + subject + going to + verb in infinitive +? EXAMPLES WITH WILL AND GOING TO Affirmations  I’m going to buy a car with my savings.  That tree is rotten, it’s going to fall.  I’m going to talk to him about this issue.  I think I am going to study now.  She will become a scientist.  He’s going to work hard to make it.  He will be the best astronaut ever.

THE FUTURE WITH GOING TO

Sujeto + verbo to be + going to + verbo en infinitivo simple + complemento  I am going to see a movie tonight.  She is going to go to the doctor tomorrow.  They are going to listen to the song.  He is going to start working next week.  She is going to do the shopping on Saturday.  He is going to swim with his friends in the beach.

DIRECT QUESTIONS / INDIRECT QUESTIONS

Direct question is when we ask something directly, as its name indicates, for example: What time is it? Being a question, remember that we have to take into account the following rule: Question word + to be + subjet? We can start indirect questions in different ways:

10/01/ Sistema de Gestión de la Calidad Revisión: 01 CONCLUSIÓN Being able to finish with this unit gave us the opportunity to make direct sentences and turn them into indirect ones, these are used in a more appropriate way to ask something, doing exercises in conversion classes, in the same way we learned to use the WILL AND BE GOING. will is used to promise things and talk about spontaneous decisions, going to is more common to talk about making plans or intentions. Personally, I do not master the topics covered in class, since English is something that is usually very complicated for me, but with the help of my classmates and with the teacher's explanations, I was able to get some idea about these topics, although I am aware that he practices it. it's everything.
