1.Did you recently meet up with a long-distance friend? How long had you been waiting
to see them?
I have a friend called Natalia, she has been living in London for eight years. We have been
friends since we were children. Since she went to London I have been very sad and lonely
because I used to go out with her and make different plans and now I don't have many
friends to go out with. Since Natalia left for London, she had not come to Colombia. But in
January of this year she was here. When she told me she was coming I was very happy
because I had been missing her a lot. We were very happy and we were traveling a lot.
2. Did any of your dreams recently come true? What was your dream, and how long had
you been waiting for it to happen?
Since I was a child, I have always wanted to have my own motorcycle to get around and
travel. Since I turned eighteen , I have been working hard and saving money to fulfill several
of my dreams, such as studying and buying my motorcycle. This year, after having been
saving a lot, I was able to buy my motorcycle. I have been enjoying it a lot because it is new
and I have been traveling a lot with friends and family.
3. Did someone buy you something you really wanted for your birthday? Had you been
hinting at it?
For five years I had been using the same cell phone, during the time I was using it I dropped
it many times, so the last few days it had been failing a lot. Even though it was failing and I
needed a good cell phone, I couldn't buy a new one because I was paying other debts. My
mom was watching how the cell phone failed, so for my birthday she had been planning a
surprise, and she gave me a new cell phone.
