SWITCH : A device used to open or close an electrical circuit. SENSOR : A device that detects or measures a physical property and registers, indicates, or otherwise responds to it. SEMICONDUCTOR : A material that has an electrical conductivity between that of a conductor and that of an insulator. SPEAKER : A device that converts electrical signals into sound. SOLENOID : A type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by an electric current passing through a coil.

TRANSFORMER : A device that transfers electrical energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction. THERMISTOR : A type of resistor whose resistance varies significantly with temperature. TRANSISTOR : A semiconductor device used to amplify or change electrical signals and currents. TFT (Thin Film Transistor): A type of thin-film transistor used primarily in screens, such as those on televisions and computers. TEST POINT : A location on an electronic circuit designed to monitor circuit performance during testing or diagnostics.

VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator): An oscillator whose output frequency is controlled by an input voltage. It is used in a variety of applications, such as in signal synthesis and communication systems. VARISTOR : A component that changes its resistance with applied voltage. It is mainly used to protect circuits against surges. VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser): A type of semiconductor laser that emits light perpendicular from the surface of a semiconductor chip. It is used in optical communications applications. VOLTMETER : An instrument that measures the difference in electric potential between two points in an electrical circuit. VFD (Variable Frequency Drive): A type of motor controller that directs the frequency and voltage supplied to the electric motor. It is used to control the speed and torque of AC motors in various applications.

WATTMETER : A device used to measure the electrical power in watts of any given circuit. WAVEGUIDE : A structure that guides electromagnetic waves, such as those from radio or light, in a specific direction, often used in radar systems and satellite communications. WI-FI MODULE : A module that allows devices to connect to a wireless network to communicate with other devices or access the internet. WIRE : An electrical conductor used to connect components in an electrical circuit. WIREWOUND Resistor: A type of resistor that uses a wire wound around a core to provide resistance to the flow of current in a circuit.

YOKE : Es una bobina de desviación en monitores y televisores CRT que se utiliza para dirigir el haz de electrones hacia la pantalla para crear imágenes. Y-CAPACITOR : Estos son condensadores especiales diseñados para conectar entre la línea de alimentación y tierra (chasis), utilizados para suprimir interferencias electromagnéticas. YIG OSCILLATOR (Yttrium Iron Garnet): Un oscilador que utiliza un cristal de granate de hierro de itrio como elemento resonante para generar señales de microondas con una frecuencia muy estable. YIG FILTER (Yttrium Iron Garnet Filter): Un filtro de microondas que utiliza esferas de granate de hierro de itrio para seleccionar o rechazar frecuencias específicas. YIELD STRENGTH : Aunque no es un componente electrónico per se, es un término importante en la fabricación de componentes electrónicos. Se refiere a la cantidad de estrés que un material puede soportar sin deformarse permanentemente.

ZENER DIODE : A diode that allows current to pass in the reverse direction when a certain voltage is reached, used for voltage regulation. ZERO BIAS SCHOTTKY DIODE : A type of Schottky diode that operates with very low forward bias voltage, useful in RF signal sensing and mixing applications. ZERO CROSSING DETECTOR : A circuit that detects the point at which an alternating signal crosses the time axis, important for power control and synchronization of electronic systems. Z-MATCH : A type of antenna coupler used in amateur radio to match impedances between the antenna and transmitter. ZIF SOCKET : A “Zero Insertion Force” socket that allows an integrated circuit to be inserted or removed without applying force, facilitating the process of testing or replacing ICs.
