BLOG: FUN IN THE JUNGLE.
Last month I traveled to the Jungle, it is a place with lots of vegetation where you will have a
great time with your family. I will share with you my experience so you can have a wonderful
vacation.
I traveled with my children to "La Plaza Principal de la Selva la Merced", it is a very quiet place
with lots of vegetation. Lots of friendly people and dancing everywhere. It has a park full of
trees, in front of it, there is a big chapel and next to it there is a very nice 3-star hotel.
We went to visit the Kimiri Hanging Bridge in the morning. We had to go to the right from the
center of the square, turn around and walk two blocks until we reached some cars that take
you to the bridge, after 25 minutes we arrived at the street Puente Kimiri la Merced 1255. It is
a very nice place with a big river. On the sides, there are many trees, and the bridge is over the
river. There are many tourists crossing the bridge and taking pictures with their professional
cameras. I took a very nice picture of my kids crossing the bridge even though it didn't come
out so well since my cell phone is old.
In the afternoon we went to eat at a restaurant called "La Florencia", it is well known by
tourists and locals. It is located on Arequipa Avenue 225 la Merced, about 2 blocks from the
square. It is easy to get there, just leave the hotel on the left side, turn right and it is in front of
a handicraft store. This restaurant is very large and clean. There are tables next to the patio
side, decorations on the walls and a grill on the patio. The food is delicious, I ordered "Tacacho
con Cecina" and my kids ordered "Juane". Would you like to come and eat at this restaurant?
They really liked the Juane, but unlike me I think it tastes similar to the arroz con pollo that I
prepare at home.
