Richard:
Hi everyone! Today we want to talk about our moms, what they are like, and how we are
similar to them.
I’ll start. My mom’s name is Hermelinda.
Physically, I’m tall, and my mom is also tall.
We are very similar in character, but I have more patience and she doesn’t
In terms of personality, I’m cheerful because I like seeing her happy when she cooks for us,
and my mom is always proper because she always tells my sister and me that we should be
good people.
One thing we have in common is that we are both persistent, but sometimes she is more
consistent than I am.
My mom, Hermelinda, is very special to me because she teaches me not to give up and to
always give my best.
Thalia:
Thanks, Richard. Now it’s my turn. My mom’s name is Cerila.
Physically, I’m short with tan skin and brown eyes, and many people say that my smile is just
like hers.
But I’m a little more outgoing than she is.
As for personality, I’m very cheerful and I love helping others because ever since I was a child,
she taught me good values. She is a woman and a mother to admire.
We understand each other very well because we share unique moments, but we also argue
when we don’t agree—although that doesn’t happen often.
I admire my mom so much; she means everything to me because she is always there during
my worst moments and always gives me her unconditional support.
I love my mom so much, and I hope you all have a beautiful May next to your wonderful
moms. Happy Mother’s Day!
Daniel:
Now it’s my turn. My mom’s name is María.
I’m tall, and my mom is short. We look very much alike physically, but everyone says my eyes
are just like hers.
Also, her way of walking is the same as mine.
I’m cheerful because I grew up watching how she solves her problems, and her patience
inspires me.
We are similar in that we’re both very optimistic, but I’m more boring.
I really appreciate my mom because she is always there for me.
Richard:
I think we all have many things from our moms. Some are similar, others different, but all of
them are important.
Thalia:
Yes, and the best part is that thanks to our moms, we are who we are today.
Daniel:
That’s why this day is so special to us, because it’s an opportunity to tell them how much we
love them.
All together:
Happy Mother’s Day!
