MEANING
- Music comes from the Greek word “mousike” meaning “the art of Muses”,
the goddesses of the inspiration of literature, arts, and science.
- Music is the science and art of giving structural form and pattern to
combination of sounds produced instrumentally or orally.
- It is an art in which melody and words were ideally inseparable.
ROLE
- Language of expression
- Arouses our feelings and emotions.
SOUND OF MUSIC
The sound that we hear is caused by vibrations.
a. Noise – irregular or uneven air vibration.
b. Musical Tune – results from regular or even vibrations.
