This lesson taught me that I, myself, can also be a hero by simply doing what is right and following the country’s regulation and laws. I may demonstrate heroism by guiding my peers and serving as a role model for them in doing the right thing that will help the community. Though I cannot emulate Rizal’s self-sacrifice and courage in risking his life, I believe that my small act of guiding and demonstrating good behavior will help to the country’s advancement. Dr. Jose Rizal also motivated me to become a hero. He is a perfect symbol who showed us to achieved freedom in a peaceful manner while also exposing the Spaniard’s injustices. He pushes me to take action against things that are harmful to society as my inspiration. His motivating actions motivate me to help others in my own manner and to become a good citizen of this country who observes the rules. Dr. Jose Rizal inspires me to be a leader and a voice for many young people. Indeed, he awakens and motivates a young person’s heart, especially me, to serve the community.
