TERM 1
Intro Slide
DEFINITION 1
A lot of people think pitching is just throwing the ball
wherever it goes, but it's not that easy. And, I'm going to
show you some of the things pitchers work on everyday to
become better.
TERM 2
1st Slide
DEFINITION 2
Some pitchers have a really weird windup, where they will
twist their hips, hesitate in the middle of the windup, to mess
with the hitter's timing. In the stretch, pitchers don't try to
fake out the hitter's as much, as they try to make this move
as quick as possible with a runner on base.
TERM 3
2nd Slide
DEFINITION 3
As you can see I'm not 6".The batter's are too good in college
to throw the same pitch over and over again, they will figure
it out and put a good swing on it. This is why pitchers need 3-
4 pitches to keep hitters off balance.
TERM 4
3rd Slide
DEFINITION 4
All these pitches move in different directions. The knuckleball
doesn't even spin and will go anywhere because it is moved
by the wind. The change-up is a really slow pitch usually
thrown after a fastball, and moves downward.4-Seam
Fastball is the fastest pitch, doesn't move.Curveball is a
slower pitch, that drops downward in the strike zone.
TERM 5
6th Slide
DEFINITION 5
I never really took care of my arm in high school, and it really
set me back quite a bit because I popped my shoulder during
a bullpen session, and I ended up almost tearing my rotator
cuff, which would've been a 1 year recovery time in baseball
and I would've never gotten to play here.
