1 Osteoporosis is a disease that weakens the bones. Osteoporosis causes bones to become weak and brittle. Most commonly affected bones are; hips, wrists, spine
CAUSES 3 MSEUF Main | 2024 The bones constantly renew, making new bone and breaking down old bone. In youth, new bone is made faster, increasing bone mass until the early 20s. After 30, bone mass loss outpaces creation. High peak bone mass, influenced by genetics and ethnicity, reduces the risk of osteoporosis with age.
