Canon refers to a musical piece where the same melody is repeated by a different voice or instrument. Chant is the rhythmic speaking or singing of words or sounds, often with simple melodies. Chords are groups of three or more notes played simultaneously. The chromatic scale is a twelve-note scale with each note being a half step apart. Coda is an additional section of music at the end of a piece or a concluding musical section.
