n today's society, advertising has a philosophical impact on how people realize their life,
especially in regard to their values and their ways of choosing and behaving.
The media of social communication themselves have massive influence everywhere, so
advertising, using media as its vehicle, is a pervasive, powerful force shaping attitudes and
behavior in today's world. Now, it is the responsibility of media to contribute towards the well-
being of the society. The information provided by the media should be true and ethical. Society
has a right to get the information based on truth.
Advertising ethics are playing integral part for the well-being of the society but it has been
observed in recent era that the advertising ethics are being ignored by the companies while
introducing their products to the masses. Advertising ethics teach us to respect the truthfulness,
respect the dignity of each human person and respect the social responsibilities. Companies are
liable to provide the true information about the product/service and they should also play active
role to communicate the public service messages to the society in order to create awareness.
Requirement:
Keeping in view the Ethics in advertising you are required to identify the ethical concepts of
advertising in given three ads (Ad#1, Ad#2 and Ad#3). Also give brief description of each
concept in 5 lines. (Maximum 5 lines for each concept) Each Ad contains 5 marks
