T course proceeds from assumption that literary texts are different fr ordinary, everyday speech and form practical prose such as scienti business, and technical writing and everyday writing such as letter, blog report writing. Literature (novel, short stories, poetry ,literary essays)on other hand , is seen as a special kind of writing that works on its own spe aesthetics, codes, and conventions. This course is a practical course wh students will be expected to write critiques of contemporary literature .T focus on getting students to write complete and comprehensive liter critiques that first provides a precise and concise summary , second a thou appreciation of the methods employed by the author , and third conveys opinion on the value of the work. B. LEARNING OBJECTIVES/COMPETENCIES Understanding the importance of Language in Literature through personal perspectives with intended context and intentions. At the end of class discussion, the students with at least 85% proficiency level are able to: a. define and understand Language in Literature b. construct a literary piece and demonstrate each group with a speech choir genre c. express appreciation the relevance of language in literature
