Shuttle Online Ticket Booking System A. The Seven Phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (done by Jarrell T. Diets) According to Kendall and Kendall (2014), there are seven phases of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  1. Identifying Problems, Opportunities, and Objectives In this first phase of SDLC, the main core activities are:
    • Interviewing user management
    • Summarizing the knowledge obtained
    • Estimating the scope of the project
    • Documenting the results In Shuttle Online Ticket Booking System, obtained the information that the problem is difficulties happen for customer in booking the shuttle transportation. So, here come the opportunities from taking benefit from the development and the use of technology, especially internet, to make Shuttle Online Ticket Booking System. The customers do not need to queue to buy tickets and they can choose directly the seats, departure date and time, and any other details. The objective of this phase is we propose to make Shuttle Online Ticket Booking System as an overcome to problems experienced by customers. To make it easier for customer to book tickets, and help the management can make decision.
  2. Determining Human Information Requirement In this phase, the activities should be interviewing, sampling and investing hard data, questionnaires, observe the decision maker’s behavior and environment, prototyping and learn the who, what, where, when, how, and why of the current system. The analyst should understand how user accomplish their work when interacting with a computer, and know how to make the new system more useful and know the business functions.
