Charlemagne T. Tamondong (1963-1967)
Contribution: Emergence of the Profession
Championed the Medical Technology profession by working with legislators on
House Bill No. 7682.
Promoted PAMET’s recognition and public acceptance, elevating the association's
social standing.
Nardito D. Moraleta (1967-1970)
Contribution: Professional Recognition
Instrumental in passing Senate Bill No. 996, which became Republic Act 5527, also
known as the Medical Technology Act of 1969.
He worked for the registration of PAMET with the Securities and Exchange
Commission on October 14, 1969 (Registration No. 39570).
Registered PAMET with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and
established its international affiliation with the International Association of Medical
Laboratory Technologists (IAMLT).
Developed the PAMET Constitution and Code of Ethics (1968) and oversaw the
release of the "PAMET News," the association’s first official publication.
Standardized the medical technology curriculum nationwide and facilitated the
appointment of the first board of examiners.
Felix E. Asprer (1970-1971, 1973-1977)
Contribution: Legislative Agenda
Pushed for amendments to the Medical Technology Act through Presidential Decree
No. 498 (1974).
Helped PAMET gain accreditation as the official professional organization under the
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Bernardo T. Tabaosares (1971-1973)
Contribution: Celebration of the Profession
Advocated for salary adjustments under the Teves Law, though its progress was
halted by Martial Law.
Successfully declared the third week of September as Medical Technology Week
through Presidential approva
