1. What do you think are the biggest strengths of Pińakamasarap Corp.?
Two of the biggest strengths of this corporation is their production of
quality products that is not capable of being reproduced by competitors and
its excellent customer relationship through relatable advertising and trust
that they will provide for them with utmost importance, not disappointments,
which had made them the leading company in a long-run.
2. In your own opinion, is it still realistically possible for Pińakamasarap Corp.
to eventually regain its leadership position? Why or why not?
I believe being third in the industry have some chance to regain their
leadership footing back like it was before. They just have to ensure that their
corporation can run with stability for long-term and learn from the
problematic things that caused their shutdown before. And especially that
their operations as of current are not at full capacity, their quality products
that were not in any way the problem in the first place, so yes, I remark that
there is a possibility.
3. Do you believe that aggressive advertising will be necessary to get the
Marca Pińa brand of soy sauce back to a position of leadership? Why or
Why not?
Yes, it will be helpful for the company to make advertisements as it
helped them before but like it was stated in the case, they lack funds to
compete with the leading brands’ marketing. So, I would first like them to
think and discuss critically how will they make it possible to put together
advertisements. A decent “aggressive advertising” will make them study the
current trends and customers’ wants and needs now and innovate to their
liking that will capture attentions. And practically speaking, they would need
a significant amount of fund for that to be viable.
