  1. Using your Marieb & Hohn textbook, Name the 12 Organ systems of the body, including its major function and the organs invloved. Ex. Lymphatic system Spleen, lymph nodes, thymus, appendix, lymph vessels, red bone marrow Disposes of debris, returns excess fluid to CV system, Provides immunity

  1. Using a banana, toothpicks and a knife, complete the following Body planes and directional terms activity. Use your e-text as a guide to the directional terms. Materials:
  2. Cut the banana on a transverse plane
  3. On the superior portion, make a superficial cut on the midsagittal line
  4. Place a labelled toothpick on the most lateral side of your largest superior piece.
  5. Draw a cross section of your inferior piece.
  6. Draw a sagittal section on your smallest superior piece
  7. Place a labelled toothpick on the most superior portion of your banana at the midline
  8. Put a toothpick in the right inferior posterior portion
  9. On the inferior piece, make an incision midline moving in an inferior direction on the posterior side
  10. Place a labelled toothpick on the anterior face on any point on the left side of the inferior piece
  11. Make an oblique cut at midline cutting all the way through. Knife Toothpicks Banana
