Gravimetric analysis is a technique that comes under quantitative analysis where we
can determine the weight of an unknown compound in a sample. In this method, the
major step is the precipitation reactions, which leads to the separation of the desired
compound from a given sample. A precipitation reaction can convert a dissolved
compound into a precipitate which we can measure. If the sample is a mixture of
several solids, we can first dissolve the sample in a suitable solvent and then we can
add a suitable reagent that can precipitate the compound we need.
Titrimetric analysis is a type of quantitative analysis in which we can measure the
amount of an unknown compound using its volume. In this method, we can use a
titration for this determination, which leads to its name “titrimetric analysis”.
Trimetric methods of analysis are a set of analytical techniques used to determine the
composition of a substance. This method involves the use of three different reagents,
each reacting with a specific component in the sample. The resulting products are then
analyzed to determine the amount of each component present. Trimetric methods are
widely used in chemical analysis and have proven to be reliable and accurate over time.
However, they require careful attention to detail and precise measurements to ensure
accurate results. Overall, trimetric methods remain an essential tool for chemical
