1. Information revolution has affected society. One impact is the increasing
acceptance of telecommuting where people work from home with the aid of the
internet, email or telephone. Can you cite positive and/or negative impact of
telecommuting to the society?
One of the positive impact of telecommuting are, the employees saves much
more money like for example an employee can save money by not going on-site
company where he/she works, by working from home only, the doesn’t have to spend
money for transportation back and forth, or the petrol. The employees who work from
home can save time too, like instead of spending a long period of time in commuting,
employees can just turn on their computer for work after having breakfast so working
from home means the employee can have much more time for other things like their
hobbies, family, friends. So this advantage leads to having a work-life balance, where
they could also have time not just only with our family but also they can have time to do
other tasks in their home like doing household chores, buying groceries, gardening etc.
Another positive impact is, it improves concentration in working, unlike in
working on-site, there are time that you cannot really concentrate because there are
many distractions in the office like your noisy coworker and anything that could distract
you, working from home or in other places like study hub, it improves your concentration
simply because there are reduced noise in those places. And lastly is that you can
work everywhere you wanted, whether you wanted to work not just only your house
but also in a cafe or a beach because you wanted work but also relax at the same time.
I remember someone, where the two of them has a work duty on the same day of our
outing in Batangas, so what they did is they just bring their laptop and pocket wifi for
them to work. This are the positive impacts of teleworking and for me, it is much more
