bg1
A fraction of hydrocarbons has to be processed in a refinery by distillation. Normal boiling
point of the components in this mixture is in the range of 25–700◦C. One of the product streams is
a gas stream containing H2, CH4, CO2, ethane, propane, i-butane, n-butane, i-pentane, and n-
pentane. Another mixture of hydrocarbons with known boiling point of 250 ◦C, molecular weight
of 160 kg/kmol−1, and density of 850 kg.m−3 is added to the process. Create a component list for
this process in Aspen HYSYS.
