Specifically, the study attempts to answer the
following questions:
1. What are the most commonly used communicative strategies
used by the Grade 12 tech-voc students in negotiating

THE PROBLEM

Statement of the Problem This study will be conducted to investigate on how communicative strategies help the Grade 12 tech-voc students of Sta. Margarita National High School in negotiating meaning during their online classes for the school year 2021-2022. Specifically, the study attempts to answer the following questions:

  1. What are the most commonly used communicative strategies used by the Grade 12 tech-voc students in negotiating meaning during their online classes?
  1. How effective are these communicative strategies in helping the students communicate or negotiate meaning during their virtual classes?
  2. Is there a significant relationship between the age and sex of the students and the type of communicative strategies they use during classes?
  3. What are the implications of the findings of this study to the teaching-learning process with second language learners?
