History of SIRI
Apple started a new dawn of the virtual assistant when they
combined the iPhone with a built in assistant. This virtual assistant
is called “SIRI”. Siri was first developed as an app that can download
from the App Store of iOS in iPhone 4s by the SRI International
Artificial Intelligence Center in February 2011, then acquired by
Apple for two months after that it was integrated to iPhone in
October 2011. But also removed from iOS store and become an
integral part of Apple’s product including the newer iPhone models
as well as iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, AirPods, Apple TV and
HomePod .It’s ability in speech recognition engine was provided by
Nuance Communications but in a few years it’s not officially
acknowledge by Apple nor Nuance until Nuance CEO Paul Ricci
confirmed the information in a technology conference back at 2011.
Siri is a spin-out from the SRI International Artificial Intelligence
Center, and it is an offshoot of the DARPA-funded CALO project. And
it was co-founded by Dag Kittlaus, Adam Cheyer, Tom Gruber. This
idea of virtual assistant of Apple was originally a concept video in
1987 and it is called the Knowledge Navigator. Siri has an advance
machine learning to function like a pro virtual assistant and voice

Purpose Siri is indeed an another technological advancement that has made our lives drastically easier or at least it’s design to. As a built- in intelligent assistant Siri plays a huge role in the modern technology, it enables the users of Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch devices to speak natural language voice commands in order to operate the mobile device and it’s apps. The users can talk casually or formally to make commands and receive confirmation from Siri. This voice assistant can do these things; ability to search for things it can use different variety of web services to give you convenient information and data from other sources, can set and create reminders and events which is very useful for everyone that you don’t need to type on the keyboard but only speak so that Siri will do it, call people with hands-free that you wont be able to pick up your phone and find who you want to call to, face time instantly with your friends or family far from you, tell you what time is it and can set alarms for you, tell you what’s the song is playing, can make

life including the things that we need for our daily activities. In Apple iPhone, Siri gave us more convenient and easier life using it’s purpose in technology it has abilities to satisfy our needs and wants, it is indeed a useful and helpful for everyone especially those who are using iPhone as their phone, being to do so much with Siri means that it’s far more likely to become a more occasional tool for looking stuff up. The power of features that Siri have can actually work across the apps to accomplish its task, as a personal assistant, virtual assistant and voice assistant Siri can manage multiple works all around the iOS and be your friend almost all of the time.
